Lecture

Mr. Fauzi explained the 7 principles of poster design that we should refer to when compositing the elements around our design, such as Emphasis, Balance and Alignment, Contrast, Repetition, Proportion, Movement and White Space to enhance visual of our poster design.

Tutorial

Practical


Project 1: Recoloring Black and White

Next, we learned how to use Adobe Photoshop to add color to black-and-white images with tools like the Brush and the Select and Mask options. The Select and Mask tool enables us to make precise selections for more accurate and detailed recoloring.


Process

For Exercise 2, I chose to recolour an image of Mr. Barack Obama. Before starting, I consulted his colour images online to ensure accuracy in capturing his natural tones and details.

Reflection

Through this project, I learned how to effectively use the recoloring features in Adobe Photoshop, which proved to be an incredibly useful skill for bringing black-and-white images to life with realistic color.
