Tutorial

After getting introduced to this particular module and the learning outcomes, we learnt about the main steps in developing a collage design.

Practical

Here's my 3 favorite graphic design work from Pinterest!

1. "ACIDITY" by by Klare.ns & Auguste Lefou

I have a special love for acid design, so this is one of my favourite graphic design work that strongly embodies the essence of acid design with all the glitchy effects in the background and window tab elements.

Also I like the glitchy color tone of the poster, it looks strikingly beautiful and surreal as well as the clever composition of elements which make the poster look ordered even though with all the chaotic recurring elements by aligning the window tabs and contrasting the color of the human figure with the background.

I like the sentence "spit out your acidity and cleanse your soul", it inserts a strong personality in the poster which seemingly conveys a positive message of about "expressing yourself".

2. "TC_495" by Austin Dingess SEO Bologni

Another graphic design work with acid design elements, with good hierarchy of information and font choice that makes overall composition within the poster looks tidy and ordered. This poster gives a futuristic retro vibe that I like with modern elements like san-serif fonts and metallic color but combining with a sculpted human statue that echoes past cultures.

Also I like it's use of color, metallic mint color of the human statue perfectly balanced monochromatic color of the background and fonts, adding liveliness to its gloomy surrounding.

2. "What about water?" by Tina Touli

I like how this poster conveys it's message strongly and clearly by putting the fonts in the middle, with a big big big font size and just a white background behind it. Beside its simplicity, Tina added blur effect to the words covered by the roundy outlines, suggesting the effect of ink covered by liquid or water, fitting it's theme and making it eye-catchy.

Simple, fun and straight to the point!

Reflection

After Mr. Fauzi provided an overview of this module, I came to understand the significance of learning Adobe Photoshop and how we can effectively utilise it. Additionally, analysing the works of other graphic designers allows us to reflect on the elements we should consider in our own designs while gaining valuable insights and inspiration from their creative approaches.
