EXERCISE 2: OWN VERSION DOUBLE EXPOSURE

The quote "The Worst Mistake is To Not Make Any" is all about embracing mistakes as part of the journey in both design and life. In design, it encourages taking risks and trying things that might not work, because those "wrong" steps often lead to creative breakthroughs. In life, it reminds us that mistakes are crucial for personal growth and learning, and we should not afraid of trying new things. The typography features intentional "mistakes" like misspelled words, a mix of italic and Roman styles, and a color that doesn’t match the rest of the palette, showing that breaking the rules can lead to creativity. For the photographic design, a hand holding a mouse are added to tie it back to design, reminding us that trying, failing, and experimenting are all part of the process. It’s a simple but powerful way to say that mistakes help us grow and lead to better ideas.
I chose this quote because it reminds people that mistakes are key to growth and self-expression. We should accept diversity and understand that everyone has their own unique way of showing who they are. Instead of judging mistakes, we should see them as a natural part of individuality and creativity, fostering understanding and acceptance.

Final Poster Design
Reflection
Through Project 2, I learned how to use the double exposure technique in photo editing, which helped me improve my visual storytelling by adding a dramatic touch to the photos. I also became more familiar with different blending modes and adjustment layers, which allowed me to experiment with how layers interact and affect the final image. In addition, I gained insight into the importance of composition, especially how to match photography with typography to create a cohesive and meaningful design. This project not only improved my technical skills but also helped me understand how different elements can come together to tell a story visually.
